Removal requests for Bayanat Labs open releases
If you believe something we publish should not be there, or is wrong, tell us and we will act on it. This page explains what to send and what happens next.
Bayanat Labs publishes free Arabic datasets, benchmarks, tools and guides at bayanatlabs.com/open. We aim to include only content we have the right to share, and every release page states its sources and licences. If you believe something we publish should not be there, tell us and we will act on it.
Bayanat Labs is not affiliated with bayanat.ae, Space42 or the ARBML bayanat library.
What you can ask us to do
- Remove content you own or that features you: text, audio, images, video, or a record that identifies you.
- Remove personal data: names, phone numbers, ID numbers, addresses, a voice or a face.
- Stop future collection from your website or channel.
- Correct an error: a wrong attribution, a wrong licence, or a mislabelled dialect or speaker.
How to send a request
Email hello@bayanatlabs.com with the subject "Removal request". Please include:
- The release name and version, or the address of its page.
- What to remove: record IDs, URLs, video IDs, timestamps, or a description we can search for.
- Your relationship to the content: author, rights holder, the person shown or heard, or someone acting for them.
- How we can reply to you.
We ask only for what we need to find and verify the content. You do not need to send identity documents.
What happens next
| Request type | What we do | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Any removal request | Acknowledge it, then exclude the content from our next build | Acknowledgement within 2 business days |
| Copyright or rights-holder request | Remove it and publish a corrected version | Within 30 days |
| Request from a platform, such as a video host | Remove the affected rows or IDs | Within 24 hours |
| Personal data, or a child-safety concern | Stop serving the affected files | Within 24 hours |
Removed items are recorded in the release changelog by count, never by content, and the published counts update. We also record the item or site as excluded from future crawls so it is not collected again, and we ask partners bound by our terms to apply the removal.
Our crawler and how to opt out
Our crawler identifies itself as BayanatLabs-OpenData/1.0 (+https://bayanatlabs.com/open; hello@bayanatlabs.com) and honours robots.txt. To block it, add these lines to your robots.txt:
User-agent: BayanatLabs-OpenData
Disallow: /
It also honours TDMRep reservations and Content-Signal directives, and it never bypasses logins, paywalls or bot protection. The full rules are on our crawler page.
Licensing questions
Each release page lists the licence of every part and every source. Where a release contains third-party material, that material is not licensed by Bayanat Labs; see the per-record source and licence fields. For permission or partnership requests, write to hello@bayanatlabs.com.
